Save the Date – Fromm online Meeting on April 25, 2026 with Dr. Ronen Pinkas

"Jewish Influences on Erich Fromm’s thought"

Dr. Ronen Pinkas specialized in contemporary Jewish philosophy, Jewish law and ethics, Jewish intellectual history, and Judaism and psychoanalysis. He is currently an interim professor in the chair of Rabbinic Literature and Halakha at the School of Jewish Theology at the University of Potsdam.

In his presentation for the online meeting, Ronen explores the impact of Jewish tradition and thought on Fromm’s ideas. Specifically, he will discuss his concept of human beings as correlative beings who depend on relationships with a concrete, transcendent other to achieve freedom and self-fulfillment. He will also discuss Fromm’s social psychology, which deals with the nature of possible relationships within a given society.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the meeting on April 25, 2026 at 3 pm (CET) via zoom.
