“Fromm Today” is now available online

The new podcast of the Erich Fromm Study Center

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear Fromm enthusiasts,

We are pleased to draw your attention to our podcast series Fromm Today. In this podcast, we aim to bring Erich Fromm’s humanism and social psychology to life in the present day. We explore how Fromm’s ideas can help us address the social challenges of our time. In the podcast, we speak with Fromm experts as well as other fascinating and critically thinking individuals who explain, expand upon, and update Fromm’s perspective on humanity and the world he lived in for the 21st century.

Our podcast series begins with a conversation between Jonathan Keir and Rainer Funk, in which Rainer Funk—former doctoral student and current literary executor of Erich Fromm—provides a broad overview of Fromm’s work.

For further episodes, we have had the privilege of speaking with Klaus Leisinger, founder and president of the Global Values Alliance Foundation; German-American philosopher Susan Neiman; author and initiator of the Economy for the Common Good, Christian Felber; sociology professor at McMaster University in Hamilton (Canada), Neil McLaughlin; and, last but not least, Hartmut Rosa, professor of General and Theoretical Sociology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and director of the Max Weber Kolleg in Erfurt.
